A fan service episode full of fun stuff for fans. Tricen tries to produce a promotional video for the park but we find out much more about our loveable cast instead. Series Finale.

Heh.

For a second there, I thought we were going to have the second season of Full Metal Panic Fumoffu with Sousuke stuck in his suit.

Seiya and Moffle know entertainment. Hilarious how they both pronounced, verbatim, Tricen a boring director making a boring video. We saw how in sync they were from the second episode when Seiya could see through Moffle's attacks, but was always prevented from counterattacking by Isuzu.

Isuzu is bothered by those thighs. I'm not. Not at all.

Did Gou-chan slip into a Koboli costume?

Amagi Brilliant Park - Episode 12

The park makes the attendance quota with help from the staff's friends. Latifa's curse is postponed by the park's success. Seiya stays on to see the Amagi Brilliant Park reach new heights.

Heh.

I love a show that rewards people who pay attention to all the little details. Pretty much everything through the last 11 episodes that seemed to be thrown in for a chuckle, spice, or character introduction was brought back during the parade of friends and family to make up the 252 person shortfall. Even the celebration montage called back many of those same things.

I had hoped for the ultimate happy end, but expected the hopeful happy end. The show split the difference by postponing Latifa's curse. I was right about the development company executive being the wizard, so there is still magic stuff in the background to worry about. It's also not a coincidence that if the park had hit its attendance goal of 500,000 every year, then Latifa wouldn't have felt the effects of the Animus curse. We got the barest hint that the magic blooming tree would be important and so it was. Get enough happy people into the park and Latifa gets to remember all the good times and grow up.

Everybody assumed that Seiya was the savior of the park.

Amagi Brilliant Park - Episode 11

Seiya finds his solution to make up the attendance shortfall - sponsor a local soccer match. After all the effort, will they still fall short?

Heh.

This show's pattern of using the final scene of each episode and the title of the next episode in the after credits as the preview was all for this episode. This was the payoff for those fun little scenes. It was a great cliffhanger and totally spoiler free. Good job.

Congratulations go to this show too for totally faking me out with how they were going to use the stadium. I thought for sure they were somehow going to use the Elemental Fairies giving a flash mob concert through Sylphy's viral video fans, but piggybacking on a popular soccer club's exhibition match was remarkably mundane for a show steeped in magic. Seiya had warned us how little viral video translates into attendance, so maybe there's still something there in this plot point.

We had a nice scene showing how Seiya had gained the confidence of the staff when announcing a hard decision to ensure the economic viability of the park. It was a marked contrast to how he posed himself as a villain in the first episode to give the cast members someone to focus their frustrations on as a source of motivation. Sylphy showed support, in her own random way.

10 Second Anime - Amagi Brilliant Park - Episode 10

Amagi Brilliant Park - Episode 10

10 Second Anime - Amagi Brilliant Park - Episode 10 photo 10SecondAnime-AmagiBrilliantPark-Episode10_zps69023764.gif

The park is running fine, but Seiya feels the pressure as the deadline approaches. Latifa's condition is tied to the Amagi Brilliant Park's fate, spurring Seiya to work harder.

Heh.

Usually we get the "wanting to protect someone's smile" cliché in anime, but here we actually get Seiya wanting to make someone genuinely smile. This ties in pretty neatly with the whole purpose of the amusement park.

This was a special kind of recap episode. All the solutions for all the problems we've seen in past episodes are shown to great effect. From the new pirate show at the water park, how Ruby the Dragon's new attraction looks, the unveiling of the park at night and even a special callback to the first episode.

The Elemental Fairies learn teamwork as they work to shut down Maple Castle's lockdown defenses. Their new show becomes a success.

Heh.

Squee! The idol group gets its own episode!

Princess Latifa: "Whatever you do, don't press that red button!" The fairies immediately press that red button...

At the start of the episode, it looks like their new show has improved since we last saw it in Episode 6, but the fairies themselves are out of sync.

Amagi Brilliant Park - Episode 8

Using a Seiya costume, the Amagi crew stand in for him at school while he is sick. A comedy of errors ensues, involving romance, jealousy and hidden truths.

Hmm.

The only important things I got out of this full-on comedy episode was that there is extensive work going on at the stadium, Sylphy is playing with fireworks for some reason, and the Elemental Fairies are still working hard on their new show. I'm still expecting a huge blowout for Amagi Brilliant Park to meet its attendance goal.

Isuzu is either jealous or sad that Seiya is getting along so well with Princess Latifa. I'm not sure which one yet, because we have two plot threads going on here: the frail health of Latifa and the growing feelings Isuzu has for Seiya. Isuzu also just saw how girls find Seiya attractive no matter what his actions seem to be and might be wishing she could be as expressive as those other girls.

The teaser for next episode has Muse freaking out over her choreography. As the title says, not enough teamwork.

Heh.

As I thought, an Isuzu disguise made for big laughs.

Amagi Brilliant Park - Episode 7

The old gate to Maple Land bursts open and out comes the notorious pirate Ironbeard. The staff of Amagi Brilliant Park counterattack, gaining new staff and a new water park attraction.

Heh.

This is classic comedy adventure stuff right here.

Before I get any further: Bikini Pirate Isuzu. Bikini Pirate Elemental Fairies. Bikini Princess Latifa. We'll get back to these very important points later.

Sea lions and an elephant seal deathly afraid of sharks? Even hand puppet sharks? Who could ever be in charge of these guys after they've been captured?

A shark mascot named Jaw. Of course he is. Just don't get him wet.

Amagi Brilliant Park - Episode 6

10 Second Anime - Amagi Brilliant Park - Episode 6 photo 10SecondAnime-AmagiBrilliantPark-Episode6_zps35495fea.gif

The park needs to hire more people to handle the attendance growth. A magic fruit makes Isuzu face her growing feelings for Seiya.

Heh.

Comedy is great, right? You don't even need much of a plot, barely a premise, to introduce a bunch of gags, and just let the comedy write itself for a half hour. Needing to hire more people means hilarious job interviews. Done and done. Just laugh now.

Making the two pro wrestlers fight for character rights was the right thing to do. But who won?

Those magic beans were actually a kind of fruit that makes people say what's on their minds. That Macaron wanted them to help with a custody dispute was so mundane and hilarious. I told you already: these mascot looking guys are just your regular salarymen. They're just funny looking in a general sort of way /fargo.

Isuzu had a quick way of stopping herself from blurting out all her feelings though.

Amagi Brilliant Park - Episode 5

10 Second Anime - Amagi Brilliant Park - Episode 5 photo 10SecondAnime-AmagiBrilliantPark-Episode5_zps77164179.gif

The park has run out of money and Seiya searches a cave for a legendary treasure. He and his party find the unexpected and another treasure trove of sorts.

Heh.

Ashe-sama gets right to point: That 30 yen promotion sure worked out great, huh? The advertising and promotion didn't increase daily attendance very much. If your numbers are so low that a 15% increase only means 30 people, you need to do something else.

What the heck was Isuzu trying to draw? Did she mean "special effects?" Was that supposed to be a dude sitting at a computer station with a keyboard and wired mouse? Am I taking crazy pills?

Isuzu is still showing her socially awkward side. Even if she knows how to make emoji, she's using the wrong ones in her texts. Unless she actually meant those... That puts a different spin on things.

Oh hey, Seiya actually has a magic ability. Nice way to remind the audience by beating a dragon in a riddle game by reading his mind.

Those Digger mole type people sure are accommodating. They spent part of their fortune by paying for their freeloader Dornell's otaku media hobby for ten years. At least Dornell had good taste: his collection was able to make payroll for the next month after they auctioned it.

Way to remind the Japanese that they still haven't recovered from their real estate bubble bursting from 20 years ago.

I think Sylphy's airheadedness is contagious.

10 Second Anime - Amagi Brilliant Park - Episode 4

Amagi Brilliant Park - Episode 4

 photo 10SecondAnime-AmagiBrilliantPark-Episode4_zps3ad84e6b.gif

Normal operations and a park emergency caused by flooding contrast Seiya's and Isuzu's leadership styles and gifts.

Heh.

Did Seiya just freehand Moffle, Tiramie, and Macaron with a mouse? Yes, yes he did. Mad skillz yo.

Seiya comes from the Fonzie school of electrical appliance repair. Ay!

One of the items Ashe-sama was complaining about was staff raincoats. Don't beat yourself up too badly Seiya. Even though you put off repairing the 3rd water pump, at least the employees had raincoats to deal with the sandbags and emergency pumps.

Amagi Brilliant Park - Episode 3

10 Second Anime - Amagi Brilliant Park - Episode 3 photo 10SecondAnime-AmagiBrilliantPark-Episode3_zps93694735.gif

Seiya's reign of terror begins by closing down the park. Viral marketing increases attendance slightly. Behind the scenes problems begin to come to the fore.

Heh.

No wonder this theme park is having problems. They close every Friday, and they don't even do any maintenance or improvements? It's like the entire park suffered from mass depression.

The staff members have been phoning it in for too long. Seiya's orders to extend park hours and actually work on Fridays and Holidays, which is when theme parks are supposed to make their money, is met with childish thumbs down.

Seiya's last suggestion, making everything free, is too short-sighted for just increasing attendance. Moffle speaks of artisans' pride in their work and the accountant says they have to pay their bills.

10 Second Anime - Amagi Brilliant Park - Episode 2

Amagi Brilliant Park - Episode 2

 photo 10SecondAnime-AmagiBrilliantPark-Episode2_zpsab9fbd52.gif

Seiya learns what's at stake for Amagi Brilliant Park's survival. He takes the job to increase attendance, but plays the bad guy to motivate the employees.

Heh.

This show is all about the little details. Seiya decides to take the job after noticing how much the park cares about kids from the rounded corners on the benches, how good the croquettes tasted, and how much the cast members cared about the guests when they were called fools. Seiya also wants to stick it to that glasses guy.

I can't get over how much I enjoy the facial expressions the mascots put on.

Seiya is a bit of a smart guy. Not surprising though, since most child actors are geniuses in one way or another.

Tiramie the cat and Macaron the ram really need those massage chairs at the end of the day.  Tiramie thinks Macaron needs a bit more pounding action.

10 Second Anime - Amagi Brilliant Park - Episode 1

Amagi Brilliant Park - Episode 1

10 Second Anime - Amagi Brilliant Park - Episode 1 photo 10SecondAnime-AmagiBrilliantPark-Episode1_zps12ac2f28.gif

A theme park which is the home of real magic creatures recruits a former child acting star to be their new manager to keep the park from closing.

Heh.

Moffle may get angry when he's accused of being a walking copyright violation, but he still says fumoffu at the end of everything he says.

Mascots making rage faces? Sold on this show!

What else can Isuzu pull out from under her skirt?

What if Mori Summer were stripped of her personality? Yup. Isuzu.

This anime production house knows how to employ repetition for comedy gold.
