The park makes the attendance quota with help from the staff's friends. Latifa's curse is postponed by the park's success. Seiya stays on to see the Amagi Brilliant Park reach new heights.

Heh.

I love a show that rewards people who pay attention to all the little details. Pretty much everything through the last 11 episodes that seemed to be thrown in for a chuckle, spice, or character introduction was brought back during the parade of friends and family to make up the 252 person shortfall. Even the celebration montage called back many of those same things.

 

I had hoped for the ultimate happy end, but expected the hopeful happy end. The show split the difference by postponing Latifa's curse. I was right about the development company executive being the wizard, so there is still magic stuff in the background to worry about. It's also not a coincidence that if the park had hit its attendance goal of 500,000 every year, then Latifa wouldn't have felt the effects of the Animus curse. We got the barest hint that the magic blooming tree would be important and so it was. Get enough happy people into the park and Latifa gets to remember all the good times and grow up.

 

Everybody assumed that Seiya was the savior of the park.

 

But it's not true. We even saw who would save the park at the beginning of the episode. They just needed to come back from dinner with their moms.

 

Har. The only "friends" who would cross the gate for Isuzu were the 3 little ghouls who always attacked her. Flawless victory. Like I said, this show brought back all those little funny bits in the course of people entering the park or in the celebration afterward. Tiramie's "dirty laundry" was a great reference, not only to his philandering ways, but also to have the mother and son duo always pointing at inappropriate public displays.

 

Another callback to a seeming throwaway joke was the rapid response of Sylphy the Net Idol's fan club. Even Koboli's little lines about enjoying yaoi fan fiction brought in her doujin circle. I have a feeling we'll find out what quiet accountant Ashe's friends in the Team Extremer club do for fun.

After those kids came through, saving the park, it was celebration time.

 

Salama and Muse still paired up jumping up and down and Sylphy still spun Koboli all around, just like in their escape from Latifa's castle. Tiramie and Macaron truly believe in talking to other men with their fists. Seiya looks like he got caught in a glomp at a cosplay convention invaded by furries.

There's still a full day's work ahead, even after all the celebrating.

It's an endless cycle!

 

Geh.

Isuzu developed a whole range of emotion by season's end.

 

From nervous longing to tearful joy to a full quiet smile of happiness. She was definitely Best Girl for the Fall Season. She even got a chance to pull out her gun to shoot at the evil wizard.

 

Still, I'll have to keep my eye on Ashe-sama.

 

You never know what interesting things you'll find below that cool exterior. As long as she wears her glasses doing those fun things, I won't mind how outrageous they may be.

 

Hmm.

All's well that ends well, right? I liked the point the story made that even though Amagi Brilliant Park is a home for beings from a magical land, they still have friends, family and connections in this mundane world. Those relationships were key to saving the park in the final hours. It even forced arrogant Seiya to admit that he could not have done it alone. His speech after the park closed perfectly fit his personality and highlighted his self-conscious growth in accepting his limitations.

 

That solution to the shortfall was totally out of his hands and out of his realm of imagination too. It took Moffle to show that sometimes people just need to ask their friends for help. In this case, it was in the best sense of friendship too - just be with me. Make sure you cross that attendance gate, though!

 

Seiya was really busy during these three months in securing the park after he left too. The deal to have a shopping center built next door was just about the best solution for growing their attendance. Plus, maybe renaming that bus stop that's in front of the love hotel. Hey, baby steps.
