10 Second Anime - Nisekoi S2 - Episode 10
Shuu says goodbye to a secret crush.
Heh.
Everybody gets their own episode, even Shuu. Ruri won't be far behind, not without how they juxtaposed the focus of the episode on Shuu, Ruri and Raku's conversations with Tsugumi.
I sense some relationship building with how Shuu told Ruri he has a crush on someone, but he never told Raku. Perhaps it was the camaraderie of being in the support roles as friends of Raku and Onodera that let Shuu admit something so personal to Ruri.
Well Tsugumi, has anyone ever called you an unattainable flower?

10 Second Anime - Nisekoi S2 - Episode 9
Paula McCoy tries to fit in. Raku gets his pendant back during a visit to the sick Onodera sisters.
Meh.
When Haru was first introduced and we saw that she had Raku's locket, there appeared an endnote that said Raku found out what happened to it a few days later. In the 2nd part of this week's episode, Haru and Raku talk about the locket with that information in mind. This is a copout not to animate the story of how Raku discovered Haru had his lost locket and how it's connected to her "Prince." Maybe SHAFT should have let the magical girls last episode just be an OVA. Or maybe they figured we would have way too much Haru and not enough of the main girls this season. Still, meh.
Heh.
Let's go over what happened that actually mattered to the plot - Paula introduced herself to Chitoge and began to spend time with normal people. Haru saw that Raku was actually a pretty nice guy, and "loaned" him the "Prince's" locket for safekeeping. I don't know why they just didn't go to Onodera's room and clear everything up. Gah! I'll stop that rant before it starts, or that Meh section is going to turn into a Feh section. And that's it.
Whenever desks go flying at the characters' school, I expect to see Araragi walking around, or Nadeko kicking over some furniture. Well, Nadeko might be a little hoarse since her voice actress also does Onodera...
Bring on the fanservice!

10 Second Anime - Nisekoi S2 - Episode 8
The magical girls of Nisekoi defeat the enemy of all women. Haru gets to know Raku better when he temps at the Onodera's sweets shop.
Heh.
Another week where we had two half episodes, but the first one could have been an OVA in its own right. Let's deal with the vignette that actually progresses the story first.
Haru still doesn't like Raku, even if her older sister and her mom approve of him.
She just won't accept Raku claiming to be her "Prince."

10 Second Anime - Nisekoi S2 - Episode 7
Onodera's little sister Haru starts high school and quickly becomes another complication in Raku's life.
Heh.
We've been watching Haru's antics in the opening credits for half the season, so it's nice to finally hear what she sounds like.
Haru is going to be the quintessential high school girl in love with being in love, but the story saddled her with three main characteristics. First, she'll be trying to find the "Prince" who saved her from older guys in the park, which is Raku. Second, she'll be trying to "protect" her sister Kosaki Onodera from the infamous harem king Raku, which the rumors about him don't match at all. And third, she's going to be the panty flashing girl. It looks like Raku's going to be the only target of those flashes too.
10 Second Anime - Nisekoi S2 - Episode 6
Valentine's Day means chocolate hijinks for Raku's groupies.
Heh.
Valentine's Day is just another vehicle to show off the girls' personalities in funny ways, how Raku bounces off of them and maybe just a bit of plot development.
The only real development I saw was Chitoge and Onodera talking about supporting each other with their crushes. Onodera knows Chitoge and Raku have a fake relationship, so she doesn't know for sure who Chitoge likes or who Raku likes. Chitoge doesn't know that Onodera likes Raku. So now they're rooting for each other to make progress with Raku. Melodrama!
Raku had never gotten chocolate from a girl before in his life. First time for even obligatory chocolate came from Tsugumi. She landed the first blow!
Maria went overboard as usual. The best part of her David Raku chocolate sculpture was the overpowered moving pedestal.
Shuu really should have gotten more punishment from Tsugumi for fooling her into thinking that Valentine's Day in Japan means giving chocolate to someone you hate. Tsugumi had no hesitation in giving chocolate she just received to Shuu. Poor girl who gave "The Prince" that nice chocolate, though.

10 Second Anime - Nisekoi S2 - Episode 5
In a Marika featured episode, Marika tries to get closer to Raku through her bad grades and having him take care of her parrot.
Heh.
Another pair of character study mini episodes this week and it's Marika's turn.
In case we needed reminding, she is super obsessed with Raku. She turned her bad grades into an opportunity for Raku to tutor her in math. Raku is only in the top 3rd of the class, so obviously Marika was hoping for more than just lessons in math. Chitoge, much to Raku's relief, tagged along.

10 Second Anime - Nisekoi S2 - Episode 4
Raku works hard to open space in Hana's schedule so she has time to visit with her daughter Chitoge.
Heh.
Chitoge still looks cute without a hair ribbon, but she needs her charm point to complete the package.
Hana's mom disabused Raku of so many misconceptions and vice versa.
She always had presents for Chitoge, but things started getting awkward when she didn't have time to give them in person.
Her cigarettes are candy! That just killed me.
Comedy is always built around confusion and misperception, but real comedy makes sure those things unravel to the happy ending. Hana's awkwardness with her daughter made her think Chitoge didn't want to be with her. Her awkwardness also made Chitoge think she kept forgetting her age when it was just idle chitchat to disguise her nervousness. Things got resolved, thanks to the "fake" boyfriend.

10 Second Anime - Nisekoi S2 - Episode 3
Chitoge's extremely busy mom comes to town for Christmas. Raku plays executive secretary.
Heh.
"Madam Flower" certainly lived up to her reputation.
Usually when an executive is this busy making decisions it's because they not only refuse to delegate, but they're also using all their time to avoid something. I hope it's not Chitoge that Mrs. Kirisaki is trying to avoid, although Chitoge appears to think that might be the case.
Chitoge could have told her mom that she's not first in her class because she had trouble with learning Japanese for the first couple of months.
Chitoge wasn't mentally prepared to see her mom earlier than Christmas.

10 Second Anime - Nisekoi S2 - Episode 2
Paula, Tsugumi's hitman colleague from America, comes to visit her in Japan. A wild kissing contest breaks out.
Heh.
The adventures of women coming into Raku's life to bother him continues. Oh, you thought this was about a key fitting a locket to find out who his first love was? Ha!
As one who is firmly in the #TeamTsugumi camp, I'm happy this was the second episode instead of much later on.
Are each of the haremettes going to get their own episode? That would be nice.
Every good hitman mission begins with surveillance.

10 Second Anime - Nisekoi S2 - Episode 1
The second season of False Love continues to follow Raku, the son of Yakuza, and Chitoge, the daughter of a rival gang boss, as they fake a relationship as a favor to their fathers to keep the peace in their town. Complicating matters are other girls who vie for Raku's attention and each of them have a key which may fit Raku's locket proving she is his first love. Slapstick harem comedy with lots of over-the-top gags.
Heh.
After a year long absence, we're brought back up to speed very quickly. Chitoge admits to herself she's in love with Raku. Raku's pendant has been repaired after Chitoge broke the lock with her key, but the three girls still can't test their keys because the lock itself is still broken after extracting the stuck key. That's as far as we get in overall plot progression, so bring on the gags!
The girls get their own introduction scenes.
