The second season of False Love continues to follow Raku, the son of Yakuza, and Chitoge, the daughter of a rival gang boss, as they fake a relationship as a favor to their fathers to keep the peace in their town. Complicating matters are other girls who vie for Raku's attention and each of them have a key which may fit Raku's locket proving she is his first love. Slapstick harem comedy with lots of over-the-top gags.
Heh.
After a year long absence, we're brought back up to speed very quickly. Chitoge admits to herself she's in love with Raku. Raku's pendant has been repaired after Chitoge broke the lock with her key, but the three girls still can't test their keys because the lock itself is still broken after extracting the stuck key. That's as far as we get in overall plot progression, so bring on the gags!
The girls get their own introduction scenes.
Chitoge, Onodera and even Ruri get the sparkly treatment. Shuu too, for some reason, but I'm not here to look at guys. Marika showed off her freakish strength when it comes to Raku and Tsugumi showed her jealous side, in support of Chitoge, not her personally, don't get the wrong idea, hmmph.
Here's a quick relationship chart.
Poor Onodera. Still in the back even though she's Raku's longtime crush.
When Marika heard the pendant was fixed, she sprung into action. Trolling action!
Both Onodera and Marika wanted to find out what was in the back of the locket, but that would mean breaking the thing open. It's already moot that the specific key would prove who the first love was, so they pinned their hopes on the whatever is inside. Chitoge, newly realizing her feelings for Raku, doesn't want to get her hopes quashed so soon, so now we ended up with a postponement. Marika still had to troll the others by suggesting there's an engagement ring in there. Kyaa~!
The resolution to the other development, Chitoge's new feelings for Raku, ended with Chitoge worrying Raku would notice that she'd been acting weird around him lately. Raku is observant and oblivious at the same time, that's just his nature as a harem king, so he thought Chitoge was just hungry. Yeah. Not what Chitoge wanted to hear.

The second half of the show was all about Chitoge trying to get Raku to notice some new things about her.
Of course, the joke was that Raku did notice all those things, but didn't know he had to say something about it. Lots of frustration for Chitoge ensued.
But the best punchline was that the most obvious one, Chitoge changing her hair ribbon, was the one that Raku didn't notice. It's only her number one "charm point!" Raku no baka!
