Paula, Tsugumi's hitman colleague from America, comes to visit her in Japan. A wild kissing contest breaks out.
Heh.
The adventures of women coming into Raku's life to bother him continues. Oh, you thought this was about a key fitting a locket to find out who his first love was? Ha!
As one who is firmly in the #TeamTsugumi camp, I'm happy this was the second episode instead of much later on.
Are each of the haremettes going to get their own episode? That would be nice.
Every good hitman mission begins with surveillance.
Tsugumi looks a bit idealized here. I think that fits a pattern with how Paula sees her mentor.
Anyone with eyes can see how Tsugumi is awkward with Raku. Paula's kissing contest just played off of that.
Why is it always this guy? I'm sure Raku asks that question of himself a lot.
Raku may not want to be the prize-hostage in a kissing contest between hitmen, but he still has his manly pride. He's very kissable, thank you very much, even if he hasn't kissed anybody yet.
Run, Raku, run!
Tsugumi Action Mode!
Tsugumi band aid mode?
Raku doesn't have a problem with Tsugumi having her own place. And we wasn't snooping around either! Definitely not!
Paula met Tsugumi when she was much younger and looked like a boy, who then promptly made fun of her pettanko. Tsugumi still one-ups her in every department.
Paula's idealized version of the former Black Tiger makes her out to be a monster drinking the blood of her enemies. Tsugumi denied any of that stuff happening. Again, this fits into the Paula filter during the surveillance. At this point, she thought Tsugumi had gone totally soft in Japan.
Tsugumi had the skills to catch Raku a couple of times, but kissing him was just way too much.
Nobody ever wins a game by playing prevent defense. You need to go on the offensive, Tsugumi!
Straight through the heart! Only Raku is dense enough to ignore Tsugumi's bashful reactions. Well, they quickly turn to violence, so he can be forgiven a little bit.
Stolen kiss get! Right, Paula? Right?!!! This counts more than an indirect kiss from a juice can, I'll give it that.
Geh.
Nisekoi, and SHAFT in general, is known for their over-the-top reaction faces. I-I think I went a bit overboard appreciating Tsugumi's wide range of facial expressions.
Tsugumi gave good face in her own Ending Credit song. I suppose all the other girls will get their own songs and sequences too. It appears this season is much more character centric and episodic than the first season. That can be fun too.
