Mejiro McQueen took off her limiters, uh, I mean, she started training without her heavy horseshoes and immediately felt the effects of her strength training. Mihono Bourbon's story and her stalker continues to take up air time for future coverage. All the stakes are set for the race, with Toukai Teiou doubling down on her undefeated goal.
Toukai Teiou looked ready to race and Mejiro McQueen debuted her new racing costume. They were both at the peak of their confidence, but who would win?
The other horse girls acknowledged the crowd, like Mejiro Palmer and the absolutely glowing Daisangen. Mejiro McQueen came onto the race course looking tired and demoralized. I think we missed how many times she and Toukai Teiou tied at rock-paper-scissors before someone lost, making them exit the tunnel first.
Ikuno Dictus takes her turn in the eye catch.
After all they hype Toukai Teiou received, it was not surprising that the superior long distance asserted her dominance. Mejiro McQueen destroyed the field and Teiou faded in the final stretch finishing fifth. The two friends now get to resume their friendship after training apart for so long while Teiou needs to make a new goal. I have a feeling Mihono Bourbon will feature strongly in this next part of her racing career.
