The People of the Land have strict gender roles, so even though Rayneshia's mother Sarariya was the most effective diplomat in the kingdom, she could never rule. Rayneshia needed to convince her she could take that outsider path in the Akiba zone after she refused an arranged political marriage. Rayneshia's maids were on her side, to be sure, and Rayneshia found out her household had been economically self-sufficient the entire time she had been in Akiba. After learning how much support she had from her friends, Rayneshia found the words to convince Sarariya she wanted to pursue the path of political independence.
Shiroe's plan to thwart whatever Eins of the Honesty Guild had arranged with another kingdom was to hold a general election. The polls all pointed toward a rout by the appointed Duke of Akiba, but Henrietta knew Shiroe would unleash a total blindside because he had been quiet during the weeklong campaign. The foreshadowing came from Shiroe having a conversation with the Guardian mechanism governing rule breaking in a designated town. Digital ballot box stuffing coming next week!
