Chroe the Zebra did not want her species' closely held secrets exposed to the horses in her herd who thought she was so pretty.
The story of Seton Academy focuses on Ranka the Wolf who is desperate for others to join her wolf pack. The reluctant harem master of this romance, ecchi, animal-ears comedy is Jin, who hates animals and just wants to spend time with the only other human, a girl named Hitomi. Yes, those are Japanese puns for synonyms of the word "person."
Jin refuses to "join" Ranka's pack, leading her to join a herd of horses led by the proud zebra Chroe. Jin and Hitomi can't stand bullying, and Jin actually hates seeing that more than he hates animals, so he exposes Chroe for the donkey relative she is, instead of the majestic filly she pretended to be. This show is ecchi mainly because animals don't have the same ideas about modesty that humans do. Also, for someone who hates animals so much, Jin knows very much about them. Is he just espousing the Sun Tzu directive of knowing your enemy, or does he still love animals as much as he did before he was beat up by bears bullying a young puppy who turned out to be Ranka herself?
Bears decided they had enough of honey and wanted to taste something else. Ranka and Hitomi certainly look tasty. Jin thought bear spray would be enough to disperse the bullies, but he didn't count on a wash station being so close by.
Thankfully, Hitomi grabbed the attention of the vice principal, a Tyrannosaurs Rex, to come and discipline the rude bears. The faculty at the school are all extinct dinosaurs and pre-Jurassic fossils. Literally. And so Ranka got two new members for her pack, the humans Jin and Hitomi. I find it absolutely hilarious that Hitomi's hairpin is the sign of Venus, usually used as the female symbol.
