Shizue had a special request that only Rimuru could grant her.
As I feared, Shizue couldn't live much longer without Ifrit extending her life and youthful appearance any more. She told Rimuru her life story in this new world and how she met the powerful Hero who took her in and gave her the mask she wore.
Shizue was indeed Satoru's "destined one" but it wasn't for a happy fate. Her "burial" inside Rimuru the Slime gave him his human form and she gave him his life's purpose - to find the one who summoned Shizue and perhaps find a way to return the other children summoned to this world. Rimuru is a Slime who keeps his promises. He's not a bad slime!
