The main story continues. Naruto is dying because Madara extracted the 9-tails from him. An ominous figure stands before Sasuke's prone body.
Heh.
All the filler is done, but we did get a couple of nods to what we've been watching since January. Karen's golden chains came out to splinter Tobi's version of the Thousand Armed Wood Jutsu. Tenten lamented Neji's death because she's the only one left to handle the two hot-blooded muscle-heads in Lee and Guy.
He only died a few hours ago, but it seems so much longer in anime time.
The plot picked up very quickly from the cliffhanger in December. Of course, Kurama told Gaara about the other half of himself inside Minato, so he knew he had to get there, but he couldn't use the teleportation jutsu, because Minato had put that seal inside the Jinchuuriki seal on Naruto. Without the tailed-beast inside him, the seal disappeared.
Unfortunately, Madara is always the wildcard on the battlefield. Just when Minato thought he was going to save Naruto, the Black Zetsu yoinked the dark 9-tail's chakra. Fortunately for Naruto, the little bit of 9-tails chakra is still stuck inside that jar that Madara spit out. It's not like he needed it anymore since he got the actual chakra from the 8-tails and 9-tails.
I think we all know who the guy with the nasty chakra standing in front of Sasuke is. Only Orochimaru had nastier chakra...
Things are looking grim for our two heroes, especially Naruto. All of Sakura's extreme medical resuscitation seems to be in vain, Minato lost his trump card, Tobirama can't do anything for Sasuke while pinned to the ground and Madara is if full Sage mode ready to take his left eye back from Obito. The question is - will Guy and the jars of chakra make it to Naruto in time?
