While Takeo lives through happy times, Suna suffers a family crisis.

Suna is being too much of a wingman here. Just because his best friend is happy with his girlfriend and becoming an older brother soon, it doesn't mean his own bad news is going to mess up his fun times.

 

Mrs. Gouda is still a good mom. She knows what Suna is like too, and how he tries to keep his problems to himself.

 

I wonder if the time Mr. Sunakawa collapsed was because he was helping carry Takeo after an accident. The flashbacks showed some clues about that.

 

If you ever wondered what cherubs with Takeo's eyebrows, nose and lips stuck on to them like a Mr. Potato Head look like, now you know.

Takeo and Rinko are still in the super duper lovey dovey stage. Being so happy about celebrating a first birthday together, telling each other they'd be good parents, meaning they might be getting married some day... kyaa~!

 

Takeo's mom dropped some happy news on him so casually. Hey, you're going to have a younger sibling. Let me tell you this great news in the elevator lobby.

Takeo was still happy.

 

Suna showed off his brotastic skills by helping Takeo plan a good birthday date for Takeo and Rinko. I wonder how Takeo got connected to that Macho Café for his part time job. It looked like a body building nutrition store from the supplies in the manager's office, but the tank top and cut-off shorts uniform told you what kind of niche they were actually serving.

 

Takeo may be slow and Suna may be inscrutable, but Takeo could still tell something was wrong. He also wanted to be there for Suna when his dad had the operation on Rinko's birthday, but Suna wouldn't have it. Takeo was going to accept his wishes to go on the date, for now.

Suna was so concerned about keeping his problems to himself and not worrying Takeo, but he didn't realize that he can't control his friends feelings for him. Going to the hospital is in part for Takeo too because he's worried about Suna. It's going to be hard for him to enjoy his nice date with Rinko, but I'm sure we'll have some cutesy moments before they end up going there anyway. Bros gotta bro out, you know.
