Madara pulls the tailed beasts inside the Gedo statue. Naruto begins to die after the 9-tailed demon is pulled out of him. Kurama and Gaara have a plan to save him.

I think I've mentioned before that Madara is just plain mean. He knows that Tobirama is a reanimation, so "killing" him doesn't really solve anything. But he still throws a rod right at his head because Tobirama killed his little brother Izuna. I guess it was the principle.

Look at how many people were concerned with Naruto dying, especially Hinata. Compare with how many cared that Sasuke was dying too. Only Karin. Well, I guess Sakura doesn't know at this point, but nobody cared enough to notice and tell her. Suck it Sasuketards. The name on the show is Naruto for a reason.

All those years with Obito and Tobi Zetsu never found out what it feels like to poop? Come on. Come on, now.

We saw Naruto in shock from Kurama being pulled out of him, but we didn't see what happened to Killer B. The old octopus arm trick again? Isn't it funny that the first time we saw Killer B and Gyuuki use it was when Sasuke and his Taka (Falcon) group took the beast's chakra for Akatsuki?

Speaking of Taka.

Meh.

I guess Sasuke had to do something while talking to Hashirama and summoning a large falcon to fly to Madara's location was a nice callback to the whole Taka insurgency against Konoha after Sasuke killed Orochimaru, but it rings hollow. Sasuke never showed any affection for anything or anyone other than his brother Itachi. This scene is just out of character for him.

Hmm.

Everybody's got a plan. Gaara's got a plan to save Naruto. Hashirama's got a plan for Sasuke to use against Madara's sage chakra. Orochimaru's got a plan to do something against the Tobi Zetsu using Hashirama's Thousand Armed Wood Jutsu.

Why does everybody need a plan? Because we got a filler arc starting up next episode and it would be such a downer to see Naruto dying, Sasuke dying, Hashirama stuck with Sage of the Six Path's rods, Tobirama stuck with those same rods plus one to the head for extra vindictiveness and the 10-tail's body ready to wake up again. The little hint we got about the filler episodes was Hinata asking the spirit of Neji to help Naruto. I guess that little spark is enough inspiration.
