Rinko admits to Ai that she wants to hold hands with Takeo and "stuff." Takeo accepts Rinko's other secrets.
Heh.
Well, it really was all as simple as Rinko being physically attracted to Takeo and worrying that he wouldn't like her anymore if she wasn't the "pure-hearted" girl he thought she was.
Hoh. Rinko had her heart set on Takeo from the beginning and she did many brave and somewhat sneaky things to make sure she made the most of her chances with him. Like going to his school to ask who he was and where he lived and even forgetting her cellphone on purpose so she had an excuse to see him again. Girls have their own weapons. Kinda scary...
Rinko and Takeo fangirling over Takeo's looks and physical qualities had Suna wanting to get out of there.
Ai knew all about his big hands, nice lips, eyebrows and sideburns and all his muscles. Suna didn't need to hear about that.
Aw, 8 year old Takeo put a love whammy on 11 year old Ai by comparing her tall, thin beauty to lilies. And she held a torch for him until she went to college! Suna made a good point that if she was telling Rinko that Takeo wouldn't get hurt by small things, then their age gap would not have mattered much either. I don't know about that. Three years is a big thing when puberty is involved. Ai made the right decision to wait, but she didn't think Takeo would fall in love with anyone before she made her move. Oh well. It's a big case of what might have been.
Even with all this emotional sincerity, the show absolutely knows how to bring the audience back to a more light-hearted mood before dealing with Takeo again.
That should do it.
This time around the big disaster was a cat stuck in a tree who was very afraid of Takeo. Like adults and girls, the cat seemed to like and appreciate Suna much more than the person who actually did the helping.
Holding hands for the first time is awkward. Nice little dance they did there.
For those who thought Suna might be gay, the one scene where his classmates noticed a hot girl at the school gates proved his heterosexuality. "Hot girl? Let's take a look. Oh, it's my sister..."
I noticed that the cake in the opening credits now has a Rinko figure next to Takeo instead of the lone Takeo figure we used to have. Smooth sailing for the rest of the show, right? Of course not. Takeo and Rinko may be an established couple, but they still have to get to know each other and their spheres of families, friends and acquaintances. There'll be lots of material to mine as they bump up against that big lug Takeo.
Geh.
The less said about Takeo's training method for practicing kissing the better.
Takeo better know he owes Suna big time for this.
Meh.
That's just terrible. Nice Bianchi colors, though.
