As a fan of anime, I'm all about the subtitles. Sometimes, it's a little hard to follow the words along with the action on the screen, but that's what pause and rewind buttons are for (as opposed to pause, rewind, and super-slo-mo...). But usually subtitles add to cross cultural understanding, not detract from it. I guess it doesn't matter to Sarge very much, since he only hears what he wants to, no matter what language is spoken.
