While the French still don't want Johan Bruyneel's team to win any of their events, the Italians woke up and realized they need some bigger names in the peloton. Team High Road was eventually invited, after having been left out of the initial invitations with Astana, but the Vuelta a España decided to leave them out, when they made a big show of including Contador's team. Perhaps ASO will feel the pressure to allow Astana in, with last year's winner and 2nd runner-up (Contador and Leipheimer), through the wildcard selection. Interesting times for the major Grand Tours, indeed.
