Megumin mastered Explosion Magic, drew the attention of Arnes (who sought Chomusuke's original demon form), and graduated from the Magic Academy. She traveled to the City of Water and ran afoul of the deviants in the Axis Cult. Yunyun and Chomusuke happened upon Megumin as she attempted to recruit — through trickery — followers into the Church of Aqua.
