The Seven Deadly Sins defeated the Demon King in his final form when the Ten Commandments used the land itself as his vessel. Meliodas used up all of his powers as a Demon King to eradicate the Ten Commandments from existence, leading to the ultimate end of the Great War. However, Escanor had activated his sacrificial skill, The One: Ultimate, which he could not reverse. As his last embers of life burned away, he and his friends said their final farewells. Merlin, who never loved him, kissed him goodbye, scarring herself as evidence that Escanor lived, he loved, and that others loved him.
The Demon King can never rise up again, and The Seven Deadly Sins are no more. Ominously, the Demon King warned his son Meliodas of the age that would come after his passing. What happens next when there is no Demon King to balance the Goddess Queen?
