The second episode of Edens Zero gave us the full opening credits sequence. We'll meet Xiaomei, the enigmatic narrator, during the first twelve episodes. We'll also see Homura join the crew and use Ether Gear swords.
The end credits sequence gave us many nice shots of Rebecca being her cute self with Happy, interacting with more popular B-Cubers, and dreaming of reaching her goal of attracting one million subscribers. Funnily enough, YouTube does send a golden plaque to channels that reach that impressive number.
After arriving on her planet, Blue Garden, Rebecca took Shiki to the adventurer's guild to register as her bodyguard. Shiki thought a guild might be like a big family, but nobody there believed that nonsense. Not even the ones who looked like Fairy Tail Guild members. We've already seen Happy, so we shouldn't be surprised to see Levy, Droy, Jet, Warren, or Max. Heck, let's throw in Risley from Mermaid Heel!
The founder of this particular guild created it after discovering a large woman called "Mother." Shiki had heard about her from his grandpa robot Demon King and thought he already fulfilled his promise to him. Alas, it was just a hologram.
The point of the second episode was to show how Rebecca has no prejudices against robots because her best friend is one! Her cat companion Happy died in an accident, but a kind man who witnessed the tragedy found a way to put his memories inside a robot body. And that robot body can turn into two pistols that Rebecca can use to headshot anyone who crosses her! Happy Cat makes a much more formidable companion than some other magical Happy...
Continuing on with more characters from Fairy Tail joining the Edens Zero story, a powerful pirate named Elsie Crimson heard Shiki escaped his planet, and she wants to find him! Yes, that's obviously Erza Scarlet, and her name has barely changed.
