Egan Bernal crossed the finish line last at the ITT on the final stage of the
Giro, celebrating his overall victory.
For many riders, the final stage individual time trial in Milan was a day to celebrate finishing the difficult three-week tour around Italy. Egan Bernal of Ineos Grenadiers did a victory salute as he knew his closest rival did not gain significant time on him. Others made no salute at all because they were competing for the best time. Others, like Daniel Oss of Bora-Hansgrohe, gestured to the crowd. And then there was Filippo Fiorelli of Bardiani-CSF, who struck a cute pose as he crossed his last finish line of the 2021 Giro d'Italia.
