Laffey fell asleep during a task and when the other girls found her, she had amnesia! She did remember that she needed the right pillow to fall back asleep. Z23 didn't have the "proper equipment," so the rest of the episode became a recap of the season as Laffey sampled the "pillows" of the featured ship girls we met along the way. One caveat – Laffey knew she preferred only Eagle Union and Royal Navy pillows. Zuikaku felt slighted, but she didn't know why.
After a long day of chasing after ships like Baltimore and Minneapolis, Laffey fell asleep in her own bed. When the concerned big sister ships came to check on her, she awoke fine and had no memory of groping breasts all day. She did remember her dream of trying to find the perfect pillow, but she already had the one she wanted in her own bed. Laffey is a sleep-groper! Her little friends Javelin, Z23, and Ayanami did not appreciate being dragged around making the big boat girls offer up their "pillows." The end.
The end card has Yostar Pictures themselves thanking their fans for watching a nice, slice-of-life fanservice show hosted by the cutest four friends of Azur Lane. We definitely need a second season so Illustrious and Unicorn can visit with Javelin, Laffey, Ayanami, and Z23 again.
