One of the Ryuzu's explained to Subaru that there are four copies of the original Ryuzu with personalities, but only three remain in the village. They banished the other one to live with the voiceless copies in the forest for something related to Garfiel and why he hates the world outside the Sanctuary so much. Subaru will need to solve the Garfiel problem if wants to achieve his greedy victory of saving both the Sanctuary and Roswaal's mansion from destruction.
