Nino found Miku at another hotel and convinced her to move back in with the other sisters to complete studying for the final exams. Nino had a difficult time explaining what Fuutarou did to her to make her so frustrated. All the kids in this show think it's an easy thing to put on disguises as other people. Easy for quintuplets, probably, but it shouldn't be that easy for "cousins" to look so much alike.
The next big adventure was to drag Yotsuba away from the track and field club's training camp. Itsuki tried, but she didn't cut her hair short. Nino swooped in with Ichika after cutting her hair and used her Nino attitude to intimidate the club captain. Seriously, who schedules a training camp one week before final exams? Ichika also wondered if Nino needed to get over a broken heart, since it's a common thing for women to get a new look and hairstyle as a way of closing the chapter on a doomed love affair. Nino didn't want to admit that she said goodbye to "Kintarou."
Unfortunately, the sisters failed almost all their classes, so Fuutarou didn't meet the conditions of his promise to their father. His resignation shocked the sisters, especially Miku, that they wouldn't be seeing him at their apartment anymore. They needed to work hard on their makeup exams, but needed to do so without his help.
In the normal plot development in harem stories to keep things the same as long as possible, the quintuplets gathered up Fuutarou to be their tutor again by moving out of their penthouse apartment to another local, more modest apartment building with single units. This happened around Christmas, so making Fuutarou "deliver" a Christmas cake to their new place counted as the big Christmas Date for each of them. The harem hijinks continue!
