The Trofea Senza Fine (Trophy Without End) paces the peloton along the route
of Stage 11, from Porto Sant’Elpidio to Rimini.
Since 1999, the Giro d'Italia overall winner has been awarded the "Trophy Without End", consisting of a rounded copper bar, bent in a spiral, which rises from the base in ever wider circles, on which the names of all the winners are engraved. This is similar to the Stanley Cup of the National Hockey League in which more levels are added to it when space runs out to engrave the team name and its players of the world champion for each year.
