Shirogane underestimated a shoujo manga's power to make him weep uncontrollably.
The kids fell into the trap of asking boxers or briefs for the boys, with Ishigami insisting that boys who wear boxer-briefs are man-whores. Chika let Siri educate the innocent Kaguya what a "man-whore" was. When Kaguya tried to discover if Shirogane was a man-whore, er, what kind of underwear he wore, he misinterpreted the question into what he would prefer Kaguya to wear. Outrageous imaginations and outlandish accusations were all in the aftermath.
The student council went a little shoujo manga crazy over a certain manga title. Admonishments over spoilers for the tear jerking plot continued the running joke of new member council member Iino believing everyone was a sexual pervert. We had a special shoujo version of the show as an omake, with deus ex maChika breaking the kids out of the romanticized versions.
