Ban volunteered to enter Purgatory and return with Meliodas's missing emotions which his curse separated from him.
Estarossa had a partial memory of meeting the goddess Elizabeth a long time ago.
Elizabeth didn't sign up for Meliodas's plan to become the Demon King so he lift the curse on their souls. If he's successful, that means he can only live in the demon realm because of the nature of the demonic power he would hold. Elizabeth is sure she can find a better solution where they can both live happily in the present with their current friends and family.
