The big superstar sports festival starts, with students like Mikoto and Kongou showing off their skills.
#2 - "The Daihasei Festival"
Hmm.
Alphabet Soup isn't here yet, but it's coming. It appears we're only going to be dealing with MEMBER in this season of Railgun, but that should be plenty, since that's the dark group run by the Academy City Governing Board itself. Allegedly. The operations people and the handlers have their own agendas, and they don't always match up, so I'm expecting lots of drama and shouting.Speaking of shouting, it looks like Touma is going to match guts and Shouty McShouterton fighting styles with Gunha from the opening credits. We know that Spiky-kun is going to show up soon, because even Misaka Mama already saw him. I can't wait for more girl talk and blushing Mikoto in the background. Thank goodness Touma has his right hand to block any of Mikoto's explosive tsundere outbursts. I'm sure there will be a few in Railgun T.
Heh.
Mii brought Kuroko a wheelchair. She can still do some damage with that. Nice framing with Uiharu's flowers as Kuroko talks about not worrying her.I have a bad feeling about the steering committee choosing Gunha and Misaki to recite the Athletes' Pledge out to the whole world.
This is so wrong. Tsukuyomi-sensei should not be dressed like a cheerleader. Of course. Gunha forgot the words, and started yelling about guts. Misaki only worried about being upstaged. That's over with.
It's your regular sports festival events, but the kids get to use their psychic powers. Saten explains what this whole season is about — making Shadow Metal from all the kids using their powers. Kuroko doesn't like baseless rumors spreading around. Saten knows exactly how to distract Kuroko. Plot twist! Mikoto was really there on the big screen!
Whoa. Kongou is going to have to shine, because Mikoto is not allowed to use her powers in certain ways since she's so high level. Just how did Kongou come up with that "Gods of Thunder" nickname? Mikoto, yes, but Kongou uses wind.
Nice. Bondage play right off the bat. Hamsters attack! Ha. They stole the girls' underwear. Hahaha! The boys just slapped the hamsters away. Mikoto is temporarily incapacitated due to cuteness.
Whoops. Mii just took all of Misaki's remote controls away. Now what can she do?
Mikoto just used her magnetic ability. Is that okay? I guess it's okay, because Mikoto and Kongou just saved a little girl with their teamwork when the boys were about to crash into her. Mikoto explains how those boys were never going to win.
Kuroko's frustration is real. Oh. Here comes some more Alphabet Soup people. MEMBER. This is Xochitl the Aztecan before she took off her disguise in Index III.
Oh yes! Mama Misaka! Saten and Uiharu don't believe she's Mikoto's mother. Too young looking! They look similar, except for certain parts…
Oh? Mikoto has a "showdown" with a certain "that idiot." Mama Misaka picked up on that immediately! Girl talk sidebar! Oh! Mama Misaka knows exactly who Spiky-kun is! I'm dying over here.
Nice. Kongou's friends like watching boys get all grrr with each other. Ah. Wannai got curious about actual physical fighting like the boys were doing, and how Academy City doesn't encourage that kind of training. Cute! They pure girls are trying to get angry with each other.
Kongou has not been neglecting her competitive spirit. Uh oh. Misaka 10032 is going to get sucked into a mistaken identity comedy of errors. Well, that Shakespeare play started it. Ugh. More MEMBER people. The creepy dude is targeting Mikoto, but Misaka 10032 is the one getting caught up.
We get the end credit sequence in its usual place this week.
