Natsuki pedaled as hard as she could in the direction of her red string of fate, because that's obviously where Takuma was going to be.
Takuma came into his own in this final battle. He was able to transform and keep giving Ichika power to attack. He was able to have two Valkyries transformed at the same time when Natsuki joined too. But Skuld had a similar relationship with Snorri and they combined into a grotesque creature. Takuma had a nice flashback of Futaba warning him about the Norn's eagerness to fight.
Skuld didn't want to sacrifice Snorri just so she could beat the Valkyries. There must be a similar kind of Love System working on the Norn side. But it didn't matter, because the evil pair accomplished their mission in keeping the Valkyries' offensive forces away from their home.
The annoying brat Norn had the real mission of stealing the tree that gave Takuma his powers. After securing the sapling, they gave Misa a mortal wound as a parting gift. Tentacles were involved.
As the other Valkyries recovered, Takuma attempted to heal Misa, but found he could only help her body because her soul was missing. Misa found herself in Niflheim, the underworld of the Scandinavian gods. As more tentacles tried to drag her into the pits of the afterlife, Takuma appeared to bring her soul back to Midgard. This went way beyond mere healing powers.
In the epilogue, Takuma had gained so much self-confidence, he was able to take his final exams without being scared of other people. He became the top student of the school and finally fulfilled his promise to his dying mother. That self-confidence also made him brave enough to confess his love for the triplets Itsuyo, Mutsumi, and Natsuki. Fortunately for the audience, he made his confession just as they were undressing. This harem master truly is coming into his own!
The three girls know they're going to fight their own battles for Takuma's heart. They might have to worry about Shino, the fourth daughter, finally joining the household. Takuma instantly blushed at her beauty when she met him. She's been stuck beneath a helmet all this time, so we didn't know she would be the strongest and most beautiful of the nine. Well, everyone has their preferences, and Shino just might have walked into Takuma's strike zone. Life is going to get rougher for the triplets, but that's a story for another time.
