Egan Bernal downs a whole flute of champagne during the procession to the finish of the Tour de France.

Egan Bernal became the third youngest official winner of the Tour at the age of 22 years and 196 days. The first two youngest were Henri Cornet at 19 years and 352 days old in 1904 and François Faber at 22 years old and 187 days in 1909. Bernal is the youngest Tour winner of the modern era, which started after 1975. Peter Sagan set another record by winning the points competition 7 times, overtaking German Erik Zabel, who shared the previous record of 6 green jerseys.
