Before all the yakity yak about rules and what-not for the battle tournament style story, we had Issei finally admitting that he was scared of confessing he liked someone or believing that someone else could like him back because of what happened with his first girlfriend. Yeah. *low whistle, golf clap*

Lots of people might have sympathy for the harem king over this standard broken heart hangup, but not me. First, Raynare was never Issei's girlfriend. She was already a demon by the time she showed interest in him. Second, Issei was killed on his very first date with this impostor girlfriend. We're talking like less than a week (or was it a month? I forget) of "dating" a devil. Love, feelings, or even the hope of getting a first kiss never factored into any of this. Issei was a victim of many crimes as soon as this Raynare lady talked to him, and many more crimes afterward.

I could sympathize over with Issei feeling impotent rage over being taken advantage, robbed of his life, and other unresolved feelings victims of crime have after an assault. But being scared of love? Enough. Anyway, it's good enough he gets to have three naked girls make him feel better about not trusting someone to have feelings for him. A harem king with a pathetic origin story makes him a bit more endearing, as long as he has a sense of humor about it. Maybe by the time he says Rias' name he'll get there.

Heh.

Issei is so dumb. He can't figure out how he hurt Rias... Maybe take the hint she gets mad whenever you call her "President" in private?

He also doesn't know Rias likes him. Never mind that she never gets naked with Kiba or Gasper... It's like watching a toddler learning to walk. He just can't make it add up that Rias might like him back.

Meanwhile, Japanese people in anime have no idea how to think to themselves instead of just muttering loudly enough for other people to hear.

Supposedly, Issei needs a big bout of dragon power sucking.

Talking about feelings and love while three naked women crawl all over you is the best kind of therapy.

Hey, uh, Issei. These girls might like you back too, you know?

This actually makes sense for the three girls to talk to Issei about this since they were there when all this stuff with Raynare happened. She killed Issei and Asia, so he's got all sorts of hangups from that trauma mixed in with regular love anxiety.

The point of all this is that Issei should be having this conversation with Rias, not just these three.

Harem hijinks with Xenovia and Irina is much more playful and less serious!

Confirmed in the eye catch - Le Faye Pendragon will become more than just a fan of the Oppai Dragon.

The Knights go first, so Kiba is up against an armored guy. The real fight starts next episode, but Issei and Rias didn't have their heart-to-heart yet. Or hand-to-breast, whatever.

As noted above, Le Faye Pendragon showed up at the pool to give us the NSFW intro to the Harem King's naked love therapy.

It might be a while before we see Issei do a Dress Break or a Pai-lingual on her.

Meanwhile, Issei needs dragon sucking at three times the usual strength. Studio Passione even reanimated some of those flashbacks. Obviously, just the ones with the cast for this season, which is why Raynare wasn't redrawn.

Issei needed to get a lot off his chest. Thankfully, Akeno and Asia had their own chests to take up the slack. Koneko brought up the rear, literally, since she had lap dance duty.

And with all the serious love therapy taken care of, it was time for the baby makers to join the fun.
