Subaru faced a huge crisis. Not the hordes of enemies he was fighting, but that he was losing the fight against his bladder!
It's nice to see that the cockpit shut-in Subaru is actually aware of a beautiful pilot like Lieutenant Leroy who once used his own mecha. Of course this scene in his imagination could not happen in his cockpit refuge...
