Episode 9 - "Take Over"

Heh.

I didn't like this episode. It's not because it was terrible, but because the drama was set up for the final episodes and things took on a serious ugly turn. I expected this, but it doesn't mean I like seeing the good guys take an overwhelming setback.

They did too good of a job of making me hate Momoka. The shifty eyes, the fake cutesy manner of speech and the idol antics made sure only one other character would like her: Charlotte.

Charlotte may have had her snooty attitude (come on, her side group is called Adel, German for Noble), but Akira tolerated her as mostly harmless.

Momoka took advantage of that and she'll be pulling her strings until we get the good ending.

Who are these other infiltrators dressed like Momoka? When did they get there? Interesting things to find out in the coming episodes.

It was about time someone called Akira out on dressing like a boy.

What exactly is the group behind Momoka's infiltration trying to accomplish? Finding the hidden construction plant and the artificial Arm spurred them to action, but why and for what?

Momoka, according to her other teammates, is a 3rd Generation artificial Arm. Does this mean Momoka is really just a clone of the original Momoka who was Mirei's partner?

What's going on with Mirei? Did she turn out to be a failed experiment with the hybrid Arm Virus?

Hey, I've seen this kind of attack before.

Akira's, uh, sword burst is straight out of Fate/Stay Night for Archer's abilities or Kiba from High School DxD.

So, Charlotte's now in charge and Torino's little village was immediately ransacked. Time for a gritty revenge story with complicated histories between characters starring Mirei and Mamori.

Geh.

Momoka didn't waste any time getting to know Charlotte in a NSFW manner.

I didn't like looking at, or hearing from, Momoka at all, so all you'll get from me is Charlotte looking at her skinny ass.

Aw. Akira's super duper bra, RIP.

A 1st Generation artificial Arm isn't going to beat a 3rd Generation artificial Arm with a shitty attitude.

Akira's battle damage matched what Mirei did to the two bikini girls in the first episode.

Now, mind you, I'm not against Akira looking sexy with thigh highs, but realistically, those pant legs should be pooled around her ankles. I can only imagine the raging debate between the leg warmer faction and stockings group about which figure would sell better. Stockings won, I suppose.

Next time, the iron fist of Charlotte descends upon the island backed up by the mad giggling pettanko Momoka. Or Francoise, according to Charlotte. Momoka just isn't aristocratic-sounding enough for the Adel group. The reunion between Mirei and Momoka should be worth a watch too.
