10 Second Anime - YuruYuri S3 - Episode 6

Kyoko makes a fake Yui, carves some apples and gets caught crying wolf.

Episode 6 - "The Unseen Face Is There."

Heh.

There were two devices animating the gags that ran through all the vignettes. Kyoko wanting to waste time was not one of them. That's the premise of the whole show and doesn't really count. The first was The Boy/Girl Who Cried Wolf. Kyoko did that with pranking the other girls with cutting her finger, until it really happened. That same theme was used against Akari when the other girls wouldn't believe her when she said that Kyoko was making funny faces, until Kyoko got caught.

The other device was carving food to show off Kyoko's useless talents. She really is an artisan, if not an artist.

Kyoko is no good at making up fake spells. They're all variations on her name...

Chinatsu went a little crazy hugging fake Yui's guts.

Kyoko almost bit off more than she could chew. Literally. Can a fictional character do anything literally? No, really. I'm asking.

If you've watched any slice of life or cute girls do cute things anime, then you've seen those cute little apple slice bunnies. Chinatsu learned how to make one from Akari and now you know how to make one too.

We started the season off slow with Akari hair bun gags, but we're starting to meet our quota now. Chinatsu rubbing Akari's hair bun instead of the bump on her head was a nice little extra helping too.

And there it is! The Akari hair bun propeller!

The student council president made a low key appearance too. I just love her running joke of being a low talker, yet people in the show can hear and understand her.

Sakurako mistaking Ayano's interest in Kyoko's big apple carving for gluttony instead of yuri is another running gag I love so much. Kudos to the writers for realizing that girls these days take pictures of their food for social media. It was literally, "Take a picture. It'll last longer." Again, I ask, can fictional characters do anything literally?
