Mamori and Mirei meet Nimi, who has mysteriously grown into a giant girl. They help her adjust to the island and reunite with her friend.
Episode 5 - "Giant Girl, Little Heart"
Heh.
It was about time for Godzilla to make an appearance at Monster Island... Wait, this is Mermaid Island and that was just a boobie monster, not Godzilla? Okay, I'm flexible. It was time for those with a giant fetish to scratch that itch.
Nimi, the girl who had a sudden growth spurt, must have had parents with a sense of humor. Her full name in Japanese sounds like "Mini Mini Me" (Minimi Nimi).
Her story, being abducted and sent to the island with her best friend, was a helpful piece of news for Mamori that her story isn't unique and that there are many girls there who share this common experience.
Mamori and Mirei both enjoyed a good yuri romance story.
Nimi running around in that swimsuit reminded me of Super Sonico.
Oh hey, beach episode. Aren't they all? Even the bikini girls from the first episode joined in the fun.
Kasumi didn't, though.
Everyone was having too much fun, so she needed some payback.
As a kind of side story, this episode did give us more detail on the main characters. Charlotte's harem combines into many pieces for her Arm suit, which confirms that she's a Liberator.
Akira the Gouverneur does have an Arm partner. I wonder if that girl knows that "he" is a she.
Also, Kasumi doesn't really like how Charlotte handles who gets paired with whom. Charlotte is too quick to force these other "marriages" which seems to emphasize sexual feelings without emotional attachment. I'm sure there's going to be a dramatic point made about that some time during the season.
Geh.
Everybody is fascinated by big boobs, whether they have them or not.
This Meifon is a handy girl. She just happened to have swimsuits for everybody.
Mirei claimed hers was a little tight. Not that I can see...
Torino said hers fit perfectly. It definitely handles extreme body movement well.
Having a giant girl around sure did come in handy. Nimi is her own amusement park attraction.
Gives a whole new meaning to "fun bags."
Hmm.
Things turned out well for Nimi and her friend Noe. The Arm Virus affects girls differently, as we've seen, so it's not out of the realm of imagination to have a juggernaut power. I'm surprised at the casualness the girls of the castle had with the outsiders of Atelier Torino. Perhaps the aggression only came from Charlotte's faction. She seems to be way out of control compared to how Kasumi and Akira handle things. Charlotte may have placed herself in charge of "human resources" by her strength of personality, combat ability and raw sexuality.
I wonder if the Gouverneur is just tolerating her proclivities because she does seem to find useful groupings of girls. At some point, the negatives of her attitude are going to outweigh the positives of her judgment on which girls belong together. She's already butting heads with Kasumi, who has her own issues with a partner who does not appear to be an active Arm. LIke I said before, for an interlude episode focused on a side character, we actually learned a lot about Kasumi and her relationship with Charlotte.
