Filler within Filler Shippuuden continues. Tsunade reads about Neji leaving Naruto's side to hear the Masked Man's plans and how the other Genin Teams confront familiar Akatsuki characters.
Episode 437 - "The Jiraiya Ninja Scrolls: Naruto the Hero - The Sealed Power"

Leave it to Shizune to wonder if Tsunade was that engrossed in the "Make-out Tactics" series that Jiraiya was really famous for and that Kakashi was famous for always reading.
Maybe in this dream world, the Tale of the Gutsy Ninja hadn't been written yet, and this is that story filled in with all the good guy and bad guy characters we've met in the Naruto story.
Interesting how they solved the issue that Naruto has the 9-Tail Fox inside him but his mother is still alive. Minato explained how he sealed half the beast inside Kushina and the other half inside the baby Naruto. I suppose there was a dramatic event around his birth as well. Hence the title of this filler episode: The Sealed Power.
Jiraiya didn't do as much as I'd hoped. He just met Orochimaru fresh from his body transfer and then he infiltrated the Hyuga dimension with his Toad Stomach summoning. Somewhere along the line he changed clothes. *shrug* Maybe the cliffhanger and the resolution didn't happen in this timeline?
I have to disagree with Tsunade about Sakura. Sakura has her short hair, so she's supposed to be more assertive after the events of the chuunin exam, but we don't know if that has happened yet. If Neji is supposed to have his "fight destiny" moment with Naruto, then yes, Sakura should be this meek and useless.
I'm surmising a lot of maybe's here but that comes from poorly written filler. Do we really have six more episodes of this crap? Believe it!
