Tachibana's friend Kanae helps her get her groove back.
Episode 9 - "That's What Makes Me Cool!"
Meh.
I'm not a fan of the anime convention where a character uses a grand gesture or spectacle to get their feelings across. Like, how about talking about this thing first, then using the grand gesture after it doesn't work? Stupid emotionally repressed Japanese culture... This is also why you hear the phrase "I don't exactly understand what's going on, but I agree, will follow, etc." That character is just responding to the emotions behind the explanation, not the explanation itself. Meh.
Also, Tachibana is moping around and Kanae is worried about her as if this has been going on for a while. They barely got to lunchtime the day after the match before Kanae challenged her to a duel. Pieces of dialog like "I haven't really talked to or seen them since then," struck me as out of place, because, IT'S ONLY BEEN ONE DAY! All that crap happened yesterday! Don't say, "I haven't been sleeping well lately," when it's only been ONE NIGHT. Meh.
Heh.
Tachibana eats a lot for lunch! Her desk was totally covered up with food!
Not giving up is what makes Tachibana look cool. Kanae, not so much.
Yay! Ichi in her nurse uniform!
Pulling the trigger on committing Fujimon to the psych ward. He needs it.
Well, at least we had time from Team Hoshishiro to provide us with a few gender bending BL manga conventions. Fujimon as the "friend" who takes care of the hot guy in the morning, but Midori doesn't acknowledge his feelings? Never seen that before...
Those "ladies" in that dodgeball game were monsters!
Tachibana as the school president really is a celebrity. Look at the crowd that showed up because of the public "challenge" from Kanae.
Kanae looked cool for about a second. Then Tachibana toasted her in the sprint.
She's slow! So slow! And she never even finished the race! Oh well, she looked cute before her makeup started running down her face.
Ha! Even though Kanae keeps trying to make Tachibana act more like a girl, she's still susceptible to the charms of the school prince.
Ouji-sama! She ran real fast after that.
Supposedly, Tachibana is going to tell Matsuoka and Yukimura that she's a girl. We'll see how that works out. This comedy has been pretty good at drawing out this bit of misunderstanding. I don't expect the revelation to be quick or easy.
