10 Second Anime - High School DxD BorN - Episode 9



Issei runs amok after the main villain Beelzebub appears. Chaos Brigade unexpectedly comes to help.

Heh.

Issei totally lost it there for a while. I'm not talking about after he ran amok in Juggernaut Drive. I'm talking about the utter denial he was in after Asia disappeared.

 

That Diodora got his. Shalba Beelzebub gave him a brand new chest cavity and then spaced him in the Dimensional Gap. That power Orphis gave him appeared to just be the ability to transport things there.

 

I liked the little touch that all the powers Issei had boosted meant he collected them for himself and that they each had the voices of the person who used them.

 

So, three seasons in, and we finally got the explanation for what DxD means in the title - Dragon of Dragons. I wonder what that little girl Orphis looks like as a big dragon.

For so-called "fake" Satans, the Gremory family seemed awfully powerful. Rias' brother Sirzechs just dissolved some other big devil dude.

 

Meanwhile, Issei in incomplete dragon form, tore the arms off Shalba before annihilating him too.

 

I still don't understand what this Chaos Brigade is doing backing up deposed leaders when Orphis, their leader, and Vali appear to only care about that Big Red DxD in the Dimensional Gap. What's the point of the chaos? To distract those magical beings away from their search?

Orphis found a bit of magic stuck in Issei similar to the little snakes she had given to the Beelzebub faction. It appeared to be something left over from the fallen angel who killed Issei to begin with. Now that it's gone, will he be more assertive with the girls?

 

We saw this kind of cliffhanger in the 4th episode.

Looks like Akeno will have to do a whole bunch of sucking... magic out of Issei's finger. Very detailed panty shot, er shot of Issei's arm here.

Because we were in full-on battle mode, the only NSFW stuff was going to be the eye catch and whatever battle damage happened to the girls' uniforms. Orphis, I remind you, is very old.

Xenovia raged a bit because of her friendship with fellow former Church member. I liked the comic relief at the end where she shoved Issei out of the way for Asia reunion that mattered.

The haremettes, and Gasper, worried about Issei hurting himself and everyone else.

Vali arrived with Asia and decided to help tone down Issei's power so Rias could break through his madness.

Rias still had some work to do when she got close enough. But her tears and oppai power saved the day.

Hmm.

There were a lot of tears shed for Asia when they thought she was really dead, but I can't help but think that some of the girls wished that Issei would go so crazy from grief over their disappearance too. At the very least, Rias said out loud that she's incomplete without Issei.

 

Issei has always put her on a pedestal, causing a distance that Rias doesn't like. Maybe now that she's said what she had to say, and that little bit of fallen angel magic is gone from him, he can start making the little gestures of intimacy towards Rias that he does with the rest of the harem.

 

Rias doesn't want to wait until he's gone off to start his own group so they can be on the same level. She doesn't know that's his plan, but she wants to get closer to him now. Well, all that will have to wait until Issei's arm has been healed. With all the boosting he did during this battle, plus that transformation into Juggernaut Drive, it's not a surprise he collapsed. He's going to need some tender nursing. We just have to see who's going to give it to our Harem King.
