10 Second Anime - Shokugeki no Soma - Episode 9



Souma figures out a dish to impress Hinako and forge a rivalry with Takumi. The first day of camp isn't over yet for the students after their tests.

Heh.

Kaki no tane (柿の種 - literally persimmon seed). So that's what the Japanese call that rice snack. I love those things. So does Hinako, apparently.

 

As I thought, Hinako has a thing for putting things on people's heads in her foodgasm hallucinations.

 

Souma sure does play dirty. Or clever. Or sneaky. However you want to put it. Hinako was snacking on something tasty, so why not try to beat Takumi's dish with it? It was the only way to make crunchy batter with what they had on hand too.

 

The Aldini's may have worked in a trattoria, but he's not going to beat a Japanese diner for speed.

Souma proved that again when he cooked up those 50 steak dinners so quickly.

 

Ha! "Until we meet again... on the bus!" Oh, that was great humor right there.

 

The Aldinis' dad's face was hidden for some reason. I smell plot point that the author hadn't figured out yet.

 

I smiled hugely when Souma and Erina were humming the ending theme song and then it blended into the credits. Time for a shift in the story? A new end credit sequence coming up?

Geh.

Hinako gave us some more fanservice.

Grabbed from behind by a dude with a crescent shaped rice cracker on his head. My only question was if she had the spicy flavored ones or not.

 

Oh hey, remember that blonde girl that gave us all the great fanservice?

I think Souma will too. Interesting that she was already in the bath before Souma got there. How fast did she cook her 50 steak dinners?

Erina's got skills alright.

Are Erina and Souma going to have a nice conversation, or will there be more pointing and posing and shouting? I'm hoping for more scenes of Erina being taken aback by Souma like during his entrance exam. Blushing Erina is best Erina.
