Majimoji Rurumo - Episode 11
The Occult Club forms a Girl Band to recruit new members on a musical TV show. Rurumo becomes the lead singer, but her shyness stops her from singing in front of a large crowd.
Heh.
Sure. Make it Tanako's fault we got a convoluted plot that somehow delivered Kouta in his dream role as lead singer of an all-girl band.Kudos all the way around for bring all the little elements of the side character development into the story. From showing that Rurumo is no longer shy in front of this large group of people, which shows they are now her friends, to everyone accepting Masako's costume making skills, to even showing the other disciplinary committee girls as just regular cute girls.
Kouta never did get his bunny girl band.
I liked how he started with just the hot women he knows, playing whatever, including Officer Iida, to quickly incorporating the other girls Tanako recruited playing their correct instruments. His fantasy life is a rich and varied one... But why is he dressed as a bridegroom? Going for the harem route in his galge, huh?
It was great to see that even though their performance was a mess because Rurumo couldn't overcome her stage fright, and Kouta was a terrible singer, everyone still had fun and nobody was mad about what happened. It was the first time Rurumo was singing in such a big place, while all the auditions, in the vein of all those reality shows looking for the next idol, were in front of small groups of people.
Rurumo did get to sing that night for the one person who mattered. Aw. Personal concert for Kouta.
