Norwegians have been very vocal and numerous fans of the Tour in recent years, cheering on popular riders like Thor Hushovd and Edvald Boasson Hagen. With neither of them at this year's Tour, it fell to lone Norsemen Alexander Kristoff of Team Katusha to inspire them. He came through on Stage 12, achieving his first Tour stage victory, and outsprinting Peter Sagan to pick up his fourth 2nd place result so far.
