Kakashi Shippuuden continues. The village's distrust of the Uchiha comes from Danzo and the 9-tails attack. Shisui and Itachi work to prevent a rebellion.

I just realized why I keep thinking I'm going to watch a show about monsters and ghosts. Not a fan of the new opening credits music.

Heh.

That Danzo is a real sneaky paranoid bastard. And he was using Izanagi even back then, which was how he beat Shisui and took his eye. And with Shisui giving his remaining eye to Itachi, we see when he got the ability to use Izanami on Kabuto. This is good filler here, animating all these details, even down to how Itachi got the Mangekyo Sharingan when he saw his best friend die.

Yay, infant Naruto sighting. It's only his name on the show...

We also see how in just a brief moment of listening to Danzo's counsel on not trusting the Uchiha to help battle the 9-tails, because only a sharingan user could summon it, all the events leading up to the purging of the clan by Itachi and following the rogue Uchiha, namely Obito, set in motion all the things we know about Sasuke, Akatsuki, and Naruto's role in the 4th Great Ninja War. Well, Sasuke got the Uchiha's revenge on Danzo much later.

Hmm.

With the next episode handling the purge by Itachi and leaving with the Masked Madara to join Akatsuki after that, are we finally saying goodbye to Kakashi Shippuuden, or is there going to be more before we get back to Naruto, Obito, and Madara? We'll have to find out next time.
