This week brought the pain. The modified Tour of California circuits I do not only have 3 ramps that I do twice each, but they also have 3 sections of long false flats. Basically, there's no real place to recover, so I won't see much improvement on this course until I'm stronger. One good cardio progress check I did was doing those 6 ramps out of the saddle. My legs didn't like it, but my lungs could take it. I also threw in an easier course at the end of the week before my longer ride through La Canada Flintridge the next day. Heh, easier... just easier on my climbing muscle groups so they get a day of recovery. Easier for the rest of me, not so much.
