Because of Adam Hansen's dislocated shoulder, he could not ride a time trial bike for the team time trial on Stage 9. He's not the only rider nursing a dislocated shoulder. Laurens Ten Dam had his shoulder popped back in place while inside the ambulance at the huge crash that broke Fabian Cancellara's two vertebrae. He opted for a time trial bike for the 28 km course.
This is rare. Starting a team time trial with a road bike because of my shoulder. This will be an experience.... pic.twitter.com/NGwlM11Nic
