Yowamushi Pedal - Limit Break - Episode 8 - 10 Second Anime

Teshima sacrifices his mountain sprint ambitions to catch back up to Hakone with Onoda in tow.

BREAK.08 — "Teshima's Orders"

Cycling Porn.

The cycling scenes from Yowamushi Pedal this week highlight the bikes of Sohoku. We've seen Cannondale, Pinarello, and BMC before, but Imaizumi showed us more of his Scott. Ashikiba's metronome climbing style looks odd on his Willier. The advent of modern cycling started with index shifting in the late 1970s, which gave riders a much wider gamut of gears. You can see the gangly out-of-the-saddle style in old TV broadcasts, but Ashikiba's version was more lopsided.

Heh.

Yowamushi Pedal flashes back to a pre-race strategy session. Lots of yelling happens about not letting Onoda play the "mountain ace" role on the last day. Onoda merely wants to pedal up a mountain next to Manami. Teshima wants to damage Manami's climbing legs before the finish line. Oh, please, as if THE NATIONAL CHAMPION OF JAPAN would tire out before the end of the race. If Onoda attacked Hakone on the climb to draw Manami with him, they would only go to the line before anyone else. Teshima asked Onoda to give up the defense of his national title.

The problem, of course, is that Teshima hadn't raced together with Onoda yet. Sohoku thought Imaizumi would be the winner after the Senior Big Three sacrificed themselves for the team, so Teshima still had that bias. And there they are, finding the best view for the action. Ah. They're there to brag for Teshima. It's time for his cycling death scene. Even Ashikiba feels inspired to race a fired-up Teshima. Imaizumi sees a chance to break up Hakone's train. Sohoku will launch Teshima to ruin Ashikiba.

Teshima and Ashikiba go head-to-head, but Teshima can't last against Hakone's chosen ace. What will Ashikiba do after Teshima turns himself inside out? Teshima's death scene will be at the mountain sprint line. Can he make it?

But first, let's have a flashback episode about these ex-teammates in junior high. Next time, who's the transfer student?
