Ichigo's friends weren't worried about Ichigo at all. The Quincy-Arrancar hybrids were no match for him. Then they learned that Soul Society was under attack. And so was Hueco Mundo! A Baby Nel shooting out of the sky to skewer Ichigo's gut was the source of that information. Nel needed help to save her friends, so Ichigo immediately signed up. Ishida demurred. Quincies kill Hollows, so he wouldn't help Hueco Mundo. He only went there last time to rescue Orihime. Urahara arrived at the proper time to deposit them on top of their enemies.
Hallibel, who had been in charge of Hueco Mundo after Ichigo defeated Aizen, was easily routed by the Quincy leader. He ordered the Quincy occupation commander, Stern Ritter J, to identify usable Arrancar, then kill the rest of the Hollows. Hallibel's lieutenants, the Tres Bestias, tried to stop him, but he quickly bested them. Ichigo and Nel weren't about to let that happen.
The posterized version of Sun-sun, Apache, and Mila Rose served as the end card.
