Zero saw that Sayb picked up his father's book on forest botany. He's the only one who could decipher the handwriting because it matches his own. Later, Zero rested in bed after depleting her magic. She refused Sayb's offer of replenishing her magic because her condition could suck him dry and hurt him. Sayb needs to train to control his magic output if he wants to help his aunt safely.
In the middle of thinking about Sayb kissing Loux to replenish her magic instead of holding her hand, she imagined gender-swapping. She gave "Sayb-chan" big boobs! As Tyrant abducted Sayb, he vividly recalled his mother's death. And how he killed the witch hunter who came for him. He melted her body away by overloading her with magic.
Suddenly, the Tyrant, who had recently tried to kill Sayb and his fellow magic students, joined the village. Holt couldn't accept it, but Zero convinced her by explaining the circumstances of the other magic users in the town. Holt had betrayed the Church, so had the Priest, and most recently, the Tyrant himself. None of the witches and beast-fallen in the village should trust them! Holt accepted that redemption was possible, but she couldn't trust the Tyrant. She chose to look after him herself.
