Minoru remembers seeing Komichi and her little sister Kao on the first day she moved into the dorms. Komichi gently played with a butterfly back then, so Minoru was happy to see that the girl in the sailor uniform likes nature and its inhabitants. Minoru is a zoologist at heart, keeping a notebook full of observations and sketches. Komichi does the same thing, but it's for keeping track of her friends!

Minoru and Komichi then combined their observational hobbies by applying their skills to their classmates. Minoru took the scientific route, insisting they not interfere with their subjects. Komichi couldn't help herself as the outgoing personality we know by now. She helped Hotaru reach the high button on the vending machine. Komichi loudly interrupted a love confession, except the confessor's target was Yasuko instead of Hitomi. And Komichi sneezed Minoru into falling on Riona's soft parts. Not a successful scientific outing.

The differing artistic styles for sketching a dragonfly demonstrated how Minoru and Komichi see the world. Minoru prefers objective observations, while Komichi focuses on how something makes her feel. But Komichi and Minoru both enjoy the safari experience of watching creatures. They'll need to schedule another outing soon!
