Koharu saw Hiyori treating serious fishing as serious business. She had polarized sunglasses and a wearable basket! Hiyori also insisted on casting for Koharu, mistakingly thinking Koharu thought fishing was fun only if she caught something.
Koharu ran to Koi's fishing shop to complain. Koi made Koharu realize Hiyori only wanted Koharu to have fun fishing, but Koharu still felt miffed. Since Koharu was at the shop, Koi decided to target her for sales. Koharu wears cute sportswear for her outdoor activities, but using them for fishing will make them permanently smell like, well, fish. Koi recommended starting her fishing ensemble with good boots. The same boots that Hiyori wears. The same boots that Koi wears! Kaching!
Koharu and Hiyori made up. Koharu explained that she was happy with any fishing session as long as she cooked what they caught. She wanted to try breaded horse mackerel fillets. Homemade tartar sauce goes well with fried fish, so she tasked Hiyori with making her version of it. Koharu and Hiyori made a tasty meal of freshly caught horse mackerel.
Koi had an appointment she needed to keep: her mother came home from her business trip! Koi gets her hair color from her dad, but she gets her eyes from her statuesque mom Reiko. As Reiko and Koi caught up at a cafe, Koi complained about her dad running off to fish. Reiko reminded her eldest child that the father allowed the mother to successfully have a career. Koi still felt traumatized from her first fishing trip with her father, but she would give him another chance for her beautiful mother's sake.
Reiko came back just in time for Koi's birthday. Koi's father came back from his fishing trip just in time to throw a humongous tuna sashimi party for Koi's birthday! Hiyori and Koharu came too. They met the boat operator, Ichika Fukumoto, who taught them the joys of deepsea fishing. I need to see more of this tanned redhead!
After the party, Koi gave Hiyori and Koharu perspectives on catching deep-sea fish. They both needed to be strong enough to haul in rambunctious twin brothers! Also, to charter a boat, they needed money. Koharu and Hiyori started working at the same family restaurant, but Koharu felt disappointed. She wanted to wear the cute maid outfits the waitresses wear. But because she was a good cook, she ended up in the kitchen. The socially awkward Hiyori tried her best to interact with strangers.
