Girls' Frontline laid the groundwork for how the philosophical differences between Sangvis and Griffin will fuel the conflict between their different tactical dolls. Sangvis relies on technically advanced artificial intelligence and communications, while Griffin treats their elite forces as regular people. Executioner and Sangvis think they can defeat their rivals through signals intelligence and brute force.
The new commander Gentiane embodies the same Griffin attitude that M4A1 and her Team AR practice. They've developed culture, context, and shared memories as the basis of their codes that Sangvis can't penetrate. MP5 and MG3 helped extract M4A1 by following her spycraft and lead to lure Executioner and her forces into a kill box. Now M4A1 and Gentiane need to rescue the rest of Team AR behind enemy lines and figure out why they care so much about the old data files they found.
