When an ogre laid waste to the capital city Winnie, the Witch of the Western Forest managed to save only one other inhabitant. After meeting with this lone survivor, Hawthorn brought his party to meet with Winnie and plan their next moves. Winnie noticed Sally's extraordinary power, and she reconnected with Frau.

Sally knew she had great power, but she didn't know what it was. She asked Winnie to teach her magic. Winnie agreed, but only if she followed her instructions without question. Sally needed to build up her stamina and learn how to fight from Hawthorn. Winnie already knew that Sally unconsciously defeated the walrus ogre, but this was news to Hawthorn.

The end of the episode told how Mikoto took on his traveling companion, who dressed like a nun. This involved Sally, Elves, and Lizard People defeating a great ogre that looked like a tree. That battle will end in the season finale, but the event there happened before the third episode. I'm not a fan of how the Peach Boy Riverside episodes progressed out of order. I think an expository framing device between episodes would have been better.

  1. This show was ruined by the "creative" decision of releasing the episodes in this order. I can't recommend it, and I now question my own taste in anime because of it...

    1. My suspicion is that the "creative" decision was a lie. In reality, they had two teams handling the animation, and the A Team did all the early, sexy episodes. But there was no way they could keep the quality going week to week, so they spaced their episodes out.
