The demon lord Frey looked on the dead face of Milim and remembered the day Clayman made the effusive dragon girl his puppet. Milim was so happy about her the dragon mitts Rimuru gave her during her last visit there. It was Frey who betrayed Milim.
Clayman hates Milim so much. Frey didn't seem too concerned about Milim's health because the dragon girl has a self-defense reflex called Stampede. Frey just wanted to pay close enough attention so she could escape if Clayman tripped it. Now we know why Milim had been acting so strangely in the background of Rimuru's recent events.
